Julia Pelosi-Thorpe researches and teaches histories of the book and reception/translation/adaptation studies — currently completing a PhD in Comparative Literature & Literary Theory at the University of Pennsylvania, after studying Classics in Australia and Italy and teaching languages full-time for several years.
Julia’s
translations of Latin, Italian, and Emilian/Friulian Dialect poetry and prose have been published in A Public Space, Asymptote, Chicago Review, Modern Poetry in Translation, The Hopkins Review, Journal of Italian Translation, The Poetry Review, Cordite, Griffith Review, and other literary magazines, as well as art exhibit brochures and video subtitles.
